In 2008, Palermo's owners recognized the need for such a program when they learned that no one was providing food for the hungry at what is supposed to be a joyous time of the year. Determined to fill that void, we created "Easter Baskets for the Hungry" and then teamed up with the Hunger Task Force, whose existing distribution network would ensure that the food went to those most in need. In the years since, we've had the privilege of working with our generous vendors, customers, partners, team members and people like you to provide local families with 12,000 Easter meals and more than 500,000 pounds of food.
