Palermo's Easter Baskets for the Hungry has a direct impact on the Milwaukee community. Check out these stories on how this program has affected two local families.
"We had no idea where our holiday meal would come from. Then we got a call. It was a volunteer from the local pantry, telling me to come in for a holiday basket. Our prayers were answered. I've been out of work for a year and have no way to care for my family. Your help gave us a reason to rejoice. We are going to share the blessing with others. Thanks for your support and, beyond that, your gift of hope. May you and your family be blessed as you have been a blessing to so many."
"I'm 77 years old and know that this box of food was not just a box of food. This box of food fed my stomach and provided relief in one sense, however, I also feel 'fed' where I needed it most, being alone at this time of the year. I'd say thanks, but that's something I say when someone holds a door open for me. Instead, I'll simply let you know – whatever your goal was, you succeeded."
